Automating with cobots

Are your sales and profits stagnating, and your output is no longer truly predictable? Have you lost sight of your goal or your original motivation to be successful in and with your company? Are you no longer able to find enough skilled workers and are having to use even very good people for simple tasks?

If these and similar worries are troubling you, automation with cobots can help you overcome them. This isn't about automated production with empty halls. Rather, it's about using different perspectives to create impetus to make your company more efficient and profitable with the existing staff, make production more predictable, slow down the workload in the company, and still significantly increase output – so that you can fully exploit your potential.

However, I cannot and will not simply tell you what to do.

Rather, we will find out in a joint discussion what is necessary for you to achieve your goals and become motivated and satisfied again.

Crucial in this discovery process are asking the right questions: What do your processes look like? What exactly isn't working right? With openness and a trained outside perspective, you can increase your motivation, your satisfaction, and ultimately your business success.

GREAT PROJECTS, GREAT RESULTS

We're often so trapped in our familiar comfort zone, or looking through rose-tinted corporate glasses, that we no longer recognize innovative solutions. Expert support can help you identify innovative solutions, select the right concepts for your challenges, and get back on track with renewed energy.

BEYOND YOUR OWN LIMITS

Have a little courage to explore new avenues. You don't need to hire specialists to handle cobots. "Say goodbye to your fears and blockages – they are merely stumbling blocks on your path to greater success." I have been intensively involved with cobots and their potential applications since 2010. I can tell you from my experience that the vast majority of projects involving cobots have led to exactly the results described, not least with a network of competent partners for a wide variety of fields.

Cobots for countless applications

Cobots, i.e. collaborative robots that can work with humans without a safety fence, are used effectively in many areas. Whether loading machines and systems, painting, gluing, assembling, palletizing, welding, grinding, deburring, edging and bending, cleaning, packaging, measuring, testing, or in conjunction with multiple machines – multi-component processes can be carried out at a single workstation or combined without severely restricting access to the production facility.

  • Relieve employees and increase output

The goal of using cobots is not to reduce headcount through automation, but rather to make the work of existing employees easier so that they can perform their value-added tasks conscientiously and reliably, while still significantly increasing productivity in their work area. In particular, ergonomically demanding tasks can be relieved of the employee, contributing to the motivation and health of both employees and the company. Naturally, the proportion of employee costs in this workplace also automatically decreases.

  • Automation in the smallest of spaces

We all know this: In a production environment that has evolved over many years, space is becoming an increasingly important commodity. The goal of cobot automation is to utilize the often limited space in the work area with an automation solution without completely restricting accessibility.

Space requirements | Accessibility | Safety
  • Low Volume - High Mix | Easy to implement with cobots

Can small and medium-sized batches be effectively automated? This question is increasingly arising in many manufacturing companies. This is a particularly pressing challenge in the area of contract manufacturing, as batch sizes are constantly decreasing and the variety of variants is increasing. With the right design of the cobot system, extremely short setup times are achievable. Furthermore, response times to short-term customer requests are shortened. Delivery deadlines can be met more reliably and are easier to calculate.

Setup times | Response times | Delivery dates
  • Become mobile and maximally flexible

Depending on the specific circumstances, such as the hall layout, transport/logistics routes, floor conditions, and, of course, the accessibility of production facilities, mobile automation can be the perfect solution. A cobot system can then be moved either using a pallet truck or forklift, or a cobot can be mounted on an automatically moving mobile robot system, enabling it to cover any desired route.

Mobility | Multiple applications | Flexibility
  • Make complete work processes more efficient

You don't need to hire expensive specialists if you want to automate with cobots. A cobot system can usually be operated with existing staff and, if desired, can also be deployed for additional work steps. Consider the entire process and, by using cobots, transform your work processes so that you become more efficient, more productive, and ultimately more cost-effective. In particular, sometimes dramatically reduced throughput times increase a company's liquidity.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE COBOTS?

Cobot is a portmanteau of the English term "collaborative robot." Cobots are collaborative, meaning they are suitable for working with humans. Cobots are also lightweight robots that use various safety systems to ensure that no serious injuries occur. Furthermore, cobots can be guided manually. You teach the robot exactly as if you were performing the task manually. Cobots are usually easy to program and have an intuitive user interface. Furthermore, cobots have their own controller, to which other devices or machines can be connected via simple signal exchange. This means that in most cases, no higher-level control system is required.

OPPORTUNITIES, PERSPECTIVES GOALS, POSSIBILITIES

"This technology is not intended to replace humans. It is intended to combine the strengths of humans and robots to achieve the next level of efficiency and productivity that could not otherwise be achieved.

It gives us the opportunity to think completely differently and develop innovative factories and production processes.”

How we work

First, we discuss the project with you in detail, reviewing the entire process, identifying your challenges, specific requirements, and goals. We then assess whether a standard or customized solution would be best suited and suggest suitable partners. We then discuss the various options, the budget, the planned output, and all other relevant topics with you.

If you then see an opportunity to implement the project effectively with us and our partners, you will receive a detailed offer.

If you are still convinced by us, we will be happy to carry out the order and install and hand over the production-ready system to you.
